Spring Wood Letters

Aren't these fun?  I made this last week and I couldn't be more thrilled with the way it turned out.  You can't tell from the photo, but they are really really big.  The letters are 12 inches tall and the eggs are about 18-20 inches tall.  One of my buddies had the great idea to leave the Spring up March through May and just change what's behind them.  So for March I have a huge 4 leaf clover, April, the eggs, and for May, I am still trying to come up with something fun.  One friend suggested a bird with really long legs and another a huge flower.  Maybe I'll do both.  :)

They are just cut out from 2x12 wood and you need about 5 feet to cut all the letters our.  The eggs are made out of plywood and bead board.  Then you just trace the letter onto scrapbook paper, cut out the shape and mod podge or spray glue it on.  I sealed mine then with some clear coat and then embellished them up like crazy.  I think most of this line is Making Memories.

It's pretty time consuming, and you need a scroll saw to do the letters, but I love it and it was fun!
