A couple of my friends threw this project together for a group of ladies here and it turned out so super cute! It was so fast and easy to do that I just fell in love with it right away! They did 2 sizes. This one is 12x18 and then there was a smaller one that was 8x10. Of course Chatty Walls did the vinyl for us. :) We used it as a stencil. Thanks Chelon! And Holly and her sweet husband bought and prepared all the wood for these! You all are awesome thanks so much!
I just love the colors too. Something fun and different. I think Holly found the idea on someone's website, but I'm not sure where, or I would give them credit! The colors I used are Americana's Snow White and Napa Red. Which in my opinion is the best red in the world. I love it. And then I tried the Martha Stewart paints for the first time for the blue and can I just say I am a believer?!! It is so nice and thick and just paints on so pretty. I got Blue Sky in the satin finish. Which I wasn't sure what that meant, but it dried with an almost pearlized quality to it. I love it! When I was done, I sanded the whole thing and then rubbed over it with a walnut oil ink pad to antique it. Then I did a clear varnish on top of that. My kids all helped and it was fun for all of us and easy enough for a 4 year old to help with.
