Ride & Sing Christmas Sign

I made up a few of these fun signs for Christmas gifts this year.
I bought this design off of Peppermint Creative.  It came with 4 really fun designs and this is one of them.

What you need for this project are the following:
1x12x16" pine board
Black Paint
White Paint
Red Paint
Glitter Red Paint
2 Eye Hooks
Sand paper
Vinyl Design

I really had fun trying out glitter paints.  In the past, I had tried the Martha Stewart Glitter paint and it is pretty, but I just thought it didn't have enough glitter in it.  So this time I tried Folk Arts Extreme Glitter acrylic paint.  It's in a small tub instead of a tube.  And it made me much happier.  I did however do a base coat of Americana's Napa Red first so that I didn't have to do as many layers of the glitter.  The glitter paint takes longer to dry and I am super impatient!

I painted the board black and when that was completely dry, I put down the negative of the vinyl and used it as a stencil.  I painted some parts white and some red, then went over the red after it was dry, with a red glitter paint.  When that was completely dry, you just pull all the vinyl off, sand the edges, put in your eye hooks and ribbon, and you are done!
Projects like that make me happy.
